Argo Tractors to open brand new state-of-the-art facility in South Africa

During a ground-breaking ceremony in Pomona today, Argo Tractors announced the opening of a brand new, state-of-the-art facility in Kempton Park, South Africa.

Speaking about the new facility, Simeone Morra, Director Corporate Business of Argo Tractors stated: “The decision to invest in this endeavour stems from our global vision to provide excellent customer service in all our strategic markets including South African”.

Argo Tractors plans to officially open the facility, that will also be the new headquarters of Argo Tractors South Africa, in April 2022.

 

The new site will be home to an advanced training centre that will ensure continues development of the necessary technical and application skills within the dealer network. The building is also designed to host our customers for special events as well as introduction of new products, services and technology. This facility will be a cutting-edge operational site dedicated to high-performance products and parts designed for modern agriculture,” Godfried Heydenrych, Managing Director Argo Tractors South Africa said.

 

The new building was specifically designed and built to meet the expanding needs of customers. Located in Pomona Kempton Park, the 6400 m² new facility will be pressurised to minimise dust and will utilise natural light enabling the company to use less electricity. The assembly area will be equipped with 9 assembly bays which will be utilised to locally assemble tractors and implements that will reduce shipping cost and supports localisation and job creation The latest technology in agricultural tractors and equipment will be on display in the 700 m² showroom. 2000m²  dedicated to Parts Warehouse

 

We are committed to providing our customers with world class equipment matched by outstanding service,” Heydenrych said. “The new facility will equip our staff and dealers with the support they need not only regarding sales, but most importantly, to grow customer relations and after-sale service.

The full operation of the company including the administrative, marketing, sales, technical support and parts and training will be relocated to this new facility supporting the markets of Angola, Botswana, DRC, Malawi, Mozambique, Tanzania, Zambia and Zimbabwe.

Since 1994 Argo Industrial (Pty) Ltd expanded its product base to Landini and McCormick tractors, Maschio Gaspardo and Morra implements and Sigma 4 front loaders. “Business and market share growth has necessitated the investment in this new facility, in turn this will support further growth of the business in South Africa and Sub-Saharan markets.” Simeone Morra concluded.
